November 12 The Well-Being of 50 U.S. States | LiveSciencePoor folks back at home. Don’t be too sad though, in then end you are happier than those folks over in Kentucky and West Virginia. :-p October 06 Interesting thoughtThe other day, one of my friends mentioned that he was curious on how people would remember George W. after his election was finished. He was curious since it seems that during the time of a presidency things are often doom and gloom, however afterwards the good accomplished way outshines any negitivity encountered during their terms. I thought it was an interesting way to look at the situation, until I saw this this afternoon: Quote
I am not in anyway comparing Bush to Lincoln, nor to Truman or Jackson, however I do think this delivers a message. Just because we cannot see the current economic turmoil, nor the war in Iraq, does not mean our children might look back at things accomplished over the last 8 years in a different light. As the saying goes hind sight is 20/20.
Shawn August 01 The light at the end of the tunnelWow...... 6 months later it is finally done. We are in the new house and slowly getting everything back together. We have 1 room pretty much complety redecorated (family room) and blinds in all of the rooms. It's nice to see that after 3 months sleeping on a air matress, 1 month in an apartment it was truely worth it.
It has been a crazy day and I think if it was not for Jen's parents we might have killed each other in the process. Jen's mom has helped us get the apartment and house together and her dad has helped through most of everything else. They have truely been Godsends.
Well got to head downstairs. Hope all is doing well!!!
Shawn July 24 Count down to C-DayWow, it is 3 days to closing. We are still fighting with the morgage company, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. We should know for sure how everything is going to work out by mid-day tomorrow. It is an exciting time for us one way or the other though. Well hope everyone is doing well.
Shawn April 24 1 Year LaterWow, it has been 1 year to the date since I have last blogged. By does time fly.
Well the purpose of today's blog is to say Happy Anniversary to Jen!!!!
Believe it or not it has been 8 years since she beat me into submission and we tied the knot. A lot has happened since then (the move to NC, Prizm, kids), but I am happy to say the good times far outway the bad.
Thank you sweetie for being here with me, and I truely look forward to the year ahead. Again it appears that we are at another bump in our lifes curve. I am glad you are the one I get to share it with!!!
